Hi! I'm Astrid Ellensdatter Mork-Knutsen,
the creator behind Pommepai!

I'm a Norwegian filmmaker, animator, and artist.

I love making films. My art and animations are often inspired by philosophy and symbolism. I explore the intersection between analog and digital techniques. This brings a handmade quality to my work and the digital aspects modernize and enhance the look and feel. I love combining animation with live performances such as dace and live music. These projects, that expore what animation has the potential to be, pushing the medium to it's limits and beeing inspired by my collaborators from different artistic fields, is my favourite kind of projects. 

In 2021 I graduated with a bachelors degree in animation form Volda university College in Norway! During my bachelor, I was the leader of the international Animation Volda Festival in 2019, and I spent a semester at École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) in Paris. In 2024 I finished my post graduate degree in cultural leadership at Oslo Metropolitan University.
